Looks great! I think we can officially classify you as obsessed with String of Purls. I need to look into knitting backwards. First though, in fun techniques to learn, I am going to teach myself brioche stitch. Janet Szabo's winter Twist and Turn newsletter had a tutorial on basic brioche stitch and then a cabled brioche stitch scarf.

Looking forward to what you think of next!

Re your Feb.5 posting (which I just read today) on "knitting back backwards", Shirley Paden did a good work-up on the technique- knit & purl AND Continental & British styles- in the Winter 2002 issue of Vogue Knitting. I'm still too awkward working "backwards" to use it for anything but bobbles. . .

Your swatch series is great fun, and it's giving me so many ideas. My favorite so far is the short row garter stripes on January 28th. I've bookmarked that page so I can look at it easily! Also, I'm a log cabin junkie, so your wonky short row log cabin squares really called out to me.

I really like this swatch, for whatever reason. It just really stood out for me.

I love your blog! So cool! I've been knitting a little square every day on my short train ride to work to sew into a blanket. You inspire me to do something more intricate.
