Tub O'Knitting
As you can imagine, I'm a knitter with lots of irons in the fire. On any given day you can find knitting projects and accoutrement strewn across the house -- a sock on the dining table, a sweater on the couch, patterns by the computer, a doily God knows where, and a crochet blanket on the ottoman. Clearly the projects have taken over our modest, relatively uncluttered living area and need to be curtailed. Enter the Tub O'Knitting. With this handy contraption I intend -- but cannot promise -- to keep my current knitting projects corralled, yet always at the ready. Hey, it even zips up if I'm ever inclined to take the Tub along for a ride.

Hee! There is an ongoing battle for couch space between the yarn and the people at our house. Presently the yarn is winning in a big way and has claimed the end table and a goodly chunk of the floor as well.

Wait a minute, when did your blog change completely? I must have been reading you on bloglines instead of clicking over!

I know the feeling :-)
I started off with a lovely wicker trug on the table beside the couch to keep my knitting in. That has now multiplied to the trug, two wicker boxes ( one with needles and notions, the other with fibre, spindles and handspun) plus a bag of yarn (stuffed under the table)and the spinning wheel and the spinning chair......;-)

I like it! I could stand some consolidation too. Right now I have several bags o' knitting and various piles o' knitting patterns and accoutrements.

I have many lovely baskets that I have been keeping projects in, but baskets take up a lot of room, so I'm knitting my first tote to felt. I'll probably end up keeping totes in the baskets.
Good luck with your organizational plan!

Ha, I have a lovely basket for knitting in the living room.... and a box of knitting... and another box of yarn. And in the end I only put the knitting in any of those places when people come over. Sad, I know. Generally it lives on the couch.

Good luck with keeping the WIPs in one place! I tried that and failed miserably - my box overfloweth!

What a great idea....makes me feel guilty. I have far too many projects to finish so I'm always starting another one for only kniting in the car. So many times I also can't find what I need for a current project, as in just where did the yarn or needles or pattern go to. By the way how is your BOHO doing. I started one with Mountains Colors Bearfoot and seem to have problems with the motif's laying flat.

I think I recognize that tub -- another great item from the Container Store. In my case it serves as a Tub O'Photography-equipment. Thanks for your blog, I read it regularly.

All I can say is ... please write more. My God, it seems like I read an article, not reading the video ... it is so clear. Do you really knowwhat you're writing.
