Knit Off Round 2

The 2nd Round of Knit Off was a mad dash -- an outright sprint -- to the finish line as the 16 of us knit a lace doily.  The DK yarn I'd prepared for this round was not the ideal choice for a doily, but at 6:30 in the morning one is not particularly choosy.  I luckily squeaked past my worthy opponent, Maureen, and am onto Round 3.  In Round 3 -- which begins March 31st -- I'll face the speedy Sarah.

March Madness Pick'em
After the 3rd day of March Madness the Knit Pickers have a new leader, "hepinblanc", who is closely pursued by  Deb, Donna, and Maryse -- all just 1 point behind.  We still have lots of knitting time -- I mean basketball -- ahead of us!

Girl, you rock!!! I thought good thoughts for you today, as promised. Kind of a weird pattern for DK though!! What was the designer thinking?

Congratulations! I thought the knitting competition was a bit crazy. Starting at 6:30 in the morning--nuts! I can't cast on that early.

Heh - I can see that doubling the amount of basketball research time from three minutes to six is paying off!

Congratulations Nona!
I can't see from the picture how you did the three extra rounds of edging that the KnitOff specified - did you just knit around?
Rooting for you in Round 3!

Congratulations and good luck on round 3! I just spent some time looking around yarnover.net where that doily pattern is posted -- wow, what an amazing lace resource!
