4 Cents
Today was my day to visit the market place at Stitches West. I find it best in these tempting situations -- ones with lots and lots of highly desirable goodies -- to decide how much I want to spend and then to take that amount in cold hard cash. When the money's gone, the buying's done. Which leads us, inquisitive reader, to the 2 questions on the minds of all -- "What did you get?" and "How much cash did you come home with?". The answer to the first must wait for tomorrow. As for the second, a picture's worth a thousand words:
nona spent her allotted wade at Stitches today,
returning home with 4 cents.

Great plan! Can't wait to see what you bought!
At my LYS, sometimes it's hard to find the price of a yarn, so I'll decide in my head what is the max I would pay per skein before I know the price. Sometimes I'm pleasantly surprised when I find the price and other times I'm left with a "you've got to be kidding!"

I was there on Saturday but I didn't give myself a spending budget. I knew there were 2 vendors I wanted to check out & buy from and also buy yarn for another specific project. I stuck to my plan although I was really close to buying a pack of yarn because it was a good deal. I can't wait to see what you ended up with!

Excellent! I'm looking forward to seeing your bounty. I skipped Stitches West this year, much as it pained me, b/c I have enough yarn for a few lifetimes. But I hoped that I'd get the 411 via your trusty eyes...

I wanted to go but the IRS has set up a branch office in my mail box. So I'll simply live vicariously through you. :)
