Top Down, Round and Round

Over the weekend, nona spent considerable time at a high school baseball tournament.  Meaning two things, of course, I got sunburned and enjoyed many hours of knitting  -- don't worry I can knit and watch baseball at the same time.  I suppose the question on your mind is, "nona, what were you knitting?".  Well my friends, I currently have all projects on hold while I knit a child's sweater for my LYS's "Katrina Sweater" project.

I love how the subtle stripes match up on the yoke.
Don't you love knitting in the round?!

I'm knitting the sweater from the top down using this Cabin Fever pattern -- I'm not modifying a thing, working straight from the pattern.  Hey, sometimes you just gotta do what you're told and not think too much.  I knit the entire body while watching baseball and hope to finish the sleeves this week.

I adore knitting in the round, but interestingly, I have yet to try a top-down sweater. All of mine have been knitted from bottom up. I think it's really about time I changed that!! Yours is looking lovely, by the way.

Ah, the lovely stockinette which lets the yarn show off her stuff. Very nice pattern, too!

Wow, no modification. How non-knitterly of you!

I love the stripes.
