So... so... so...

Did your reivented one turn out better than the original pattern?

A fourchette joins the front and back of the fabric in between the fingers of gloves.

What? gloves with four fingers?
Great gloves anyway ;) I can see that your experiment turns out well. Another gloves anytime soon, Nona?

I love the gloves. I'm inspired to getting going on mine. (I guess you're my inspiration these days.) My Vogue #11 sweater is ready for seaming and then the ruffles. It's soft and warm. I can't wait to wear it.

Fab gloves! Love the colors.

Great Gloves! and great inspiration to get moving on my peaceful palms gloves!

A fourchette is a fork in French, right? :)

Sooo, the 20 zillion dollar question is did you do them finger down or cuff up? I did a glove, too, BTW. Notice I said "glove" singular...

I love the colors! You'll have to give us your pattern modifications. I always get little holes where the fingers join the hand.

The gloves reminded me instantly of the multicolored socks WITH toes we used to wear!

Great gloves! Fourchette also has an anatomic meaning...

Very pretty and colorful!!! I have one fingerless glove done so far... No idea what a fourchette is, just reading the other guesses (I took Spanish in high school, not French!) :)

Those are amazing gloves. I'm getting closer to caving and making myself a pair.

They're awesome, Nona. I haven't started my project yet other than chosing my pattern & yarn--one of my koolaid dyed experiments and teaching myself how to use 2 circs instead of DPNs.

Those are so freaking happy! Good stuff :)

Well, I know what it means during a gynecological exam ...

Probably not exactly the same in gloves.

You know, a fourchette is also a small band or fold of mucous membrane forming the posterior margin of the vulva and connecting the posterior ends of the labia majora of the vagina. Just if you were interested in a little medical enlightening to your inquisition.
