In Combination
There are times when two things in combination are superior to each in isolation -- think chocolate and peanut butter. Today I experienced this phenomenon with yarn. Crystal Palace's Waikiki and Madil's Kid Seta are both wonderful yarns in their own right. But put them together and you have, well you have nothing short of dreamy. The Waikiki provides beautiful variegated colors along with a wonderful drape thanks to its rayon content. While, the Kid Seta's fine mohair softens the overall fabric and adds warmth. The resulting yarn was so inspiring, I went swatch crazy!
I wish you could see and feel this swatch!
I suppose the question at hand is, "nona what the heck are you going to do with this wonderful yarn combination?" Well my friends, I'm going to make another variation of my tie-front cropped cardigan -- one for fall.

Love it when you combine yarns. This one looks lovely both in terms of colour and texture. Inspiring! It will be fun to see your cardi progress.

Nona
Welcome back! I missed you.
What's the cost of this lovely you are making?
I'm starting a grass roots movement among bloggers to come clean with the cost, before I fall in love and M1 too!

Mohair is magic. Mohair with silk is even more magic. Sheesh, what am I doing at work when I could be knitting? This week has been all about that feeling.

I need some help! I put aside my NBaT for a while to finish up other projects. I came back
and started working on the front. I just found
out that I added an extra inch to the back
because I read the pattern correctly to
decrease and then knit 7 rows four times.
I think I can live with that, but now I've
gotten to the point where it says work as for
back to beginning of armhole. Shouldn't it say
work as for back including armhole decreases?
I also had trouble with the folded up hem on my
the front. The back came out perfectly. Don't ask me why. Any tips?

Hey Nona, can you share what the changes will be to your tie-front cardigan? I absolutely love your yarn combo! And the colors are outstanding! Brenda
