A Casual Comment
"Adversity is not necessarily a bad thing", nona-friend pronounced casually at knit group. The statement came and went as we discussed some topic or other, quickly spoken and quickly forgotten. However, over the past few weeks that casual comment kept popping back into nona's head -- popping back in regards to both life and of course, knitting. Sometimes it's the projects we struggle over and repeatably frog, which teach us the most -- so yes, nona agrees, "adversity is not necessarily a bad thing".

I absolutely agree. I've been reading a book called 'The War of Art' (how great a title is that) which has me thinking about how adversity makes us realise what it is we really care about - enough to pursue. And that the greatest adversity can be our own resistance.

There is a MUCH truth to the old adages "a blessing in disguise" and "every cloud has a silver lining".

So, so true...however some of us take several trips to the pond to learn.
