Fingerless Gloves UFO

alt_herenona found a Lantern Moon basket full of experimental fingerless gloves in her UFO pit-- nona does love a good experiment.  Last winter, with all good intentions, I set off to knit a variety of fingerless gloves and to write a companion pattern for my LYS.  I ended up with one completed pair, five right hand gloves, and no pattern.  The gloves were fun and easy to knit, but my interest waned after awhile leaving the Lantern Moon basket -- and its contents -- forgotten in the corner.   Does this ever happen to you?

nona asks herself, how should I deal with this UFO?  Since my favorite glove in the bunch is the red one, I'm going to complete the pair.  As for the others, I'll give the finished blue pair away -- anyone want them? -- add the leftover yarn to my stash, and dispose of the other 4 right hand gloves.  I'll leave it to your imagination, sympathetic reader, what nona means by "dispose".

Anyone interested in a pair of blue, lacy fingerless gloves?

Hey Nona -- Nona friend the oldest's sister's daughter, Sarah, says these gloves are way cool and she wants them. :)

Nona friend the oldest's sister's niece is welcome to the finished pairs..but I wonder if any of the right-hand gloves ready for disposal would work for GOLF? Wearing them could cause quite the golf fashion craze!

I just found your blog and love its skinny little musings. Very fun to read the long of it! I love the blue lace fingerless. I think you need a contest to decide who gets them. OR how about you call them a 2005 Christmas gift already finished! Wow Nona would really impress me then!

I love the lacy fingerless gloves, they are gorgeous! I have been looking for a pattern similar to those to match a shawl I am making. Do you have a pattern for these?

Hello Nona,
All these years I was doing cross stitch and crochet. I saw your blog and now wish to pursue knitting. I would like to knit this fingerless blue gloves and the red half finished socks(pal2_socktop) on a circular needle(not on this page). Will you be kind enough to share the two patterns with me? I saw another project which I could not find afterwards, a green lacy shawl(was it ariele or oriele?). Can I borrow that design also? I am a fairly good knitter, learning to knit at age nine. I am 57 now. I am from Calcutta,India.
