Field Guide To Knitters

nona's horrifiednona was both pleased and horrified today when she received a phone call from nona-friend the oldest.  Before I continue, let me set the record straight about "the oldest".  nona-friend is not my oldest friend as in years -- in fact nona is 3 whopping months older -- she's my oldest friend as in I've known her since 5th grade!  Back to the phone call, nona-friend -- a new knitter -- was so thrilled about the book -- Stitch 'N Bitch -- I sent her for Christmas she had to call me immediately.  nona-friend, please, it is only December 23rd you should not be opening your Christmas presents!  And not the least bit of guilt.

The first question nona-friend posed to me was, "What kind of knitter are you?".  In response to my "Huh", she said, "Look on page 122 -- you know the Field Guide to Knitters -- what kind of knitter are you?".  Well nona-friend, I'd have to say I'm mostly "Hurts So Good" with a hint of "Get Your Freak On".  And you?

Now that I'm addicted, I've gone back to page 122 to see where I fit in so far. I WAS horribly afraid of becoming a "Dilettante Knitter," but so far I don't fall into that category...although MANY yummy yarns tempt me. Right now, I'm mostly "She's Gotta Have It" with a touch of Hurts So Good"...every project I attempt, I'm trying a new challenge and it hurts!

I've been knitting for about a year and think that I'm mostly a "She's Gotta Have It" Knitter but I think that Knitting and Purling is fun not boring . I have a little bit of "Hurts So Good" Because I like to make up my own pattern.I also LOVE ATTRACTIVE YARN!
