Enjoying the Dentist?
I consider myself a tough cookie, but there is something about the dentist drill that sends me running. Thank goodness I have a painless dentist. None the less, I was not thrilled about the prospect of having my tooth drilled out today and replaced with a crown.
Slow down nona, what about all that waiting time at the dentist? Time in the waiting room. Time in the dentist chair waiting for the Novocaine to kick in. Time with a big gooey mold in your month. Doesn't this sound like perfect knitting time? Well yes nona, I think it does!
To prepare for my "afternoon knitting spree", I pulled out my Hanne Falkenberg Promenade Shawl that I started last April. I had put the shawl aside to pursue warm weather knitting, but it was high time I got it back out.
So to those who see the glass as half full -- I had an enjoyable afternoon today knitting my shawl at the dentist. And to those who see it as half empty -- I'm sitting here now with a throbbing tooth after enduring the whirl of the dentist drill. Which do you prefer?

I would prefer to have that shawl around my shoulders! (hint!)

I saw you working on the hanne falkenberg promenade shawl. Did you have to buy a 60" circular needle to pick up all those stitches?

I have a favor for anyone who can help...
My mom made me a baby blanket before I was born and has since lost the pattern. (I am now 25) I am expecting now and she wants to make the same pattern for my child...Is there anyone out there that can look at pictures and determine the pattern?...this is really important to my mom, and it would be a fabulous mothers day gift! :)
thanks so much.
Any info or possible links to this answer would be VERY helpful!
