Yippee! I knit a swatch with two cable mistakes, so tomorrow I get to experiment with this.
|Yarn:||Cascade 220 in the pink of all pinks|
|Stitch Pattern:||Two 3x3 cables. The one on the right twists to the right and the one on the left twists to the left. Can you see the error in each cable? Tomorrow that error will -- hopefully -- be fixed.|
|Techniques:||Cabling without a cable needle using the technique I learned from Grumperina.|
1 month down and 11 months to go...

Have you tried the cabling without a cable needle technique that Wendy Johnson describes at http://wendyknits.net/knit/leftcable.htm? I've tried both, and while I loved Grumperina's way, I found Wendy's much easier to execute.

That's just craziness. You'll have fun, but you're definitely crazy! CUT IT, JUST CUT IT! ;-)

if you get really bored with all the swatches and can't think of what to do, pick one yarn and do EVERYTHING with it. big needles, small needles. different patterns. etc. then pick one stitch pattern and do everything with it. knowing you you won't run out of ideas, but just in case

Hello Nono, I checked out your link ~ 'CUT IT, JUST CUT IT...' It's very text heavy ~ so I'm going to read it later properly, I guess my eyes are getting tired now, ~ but I can't see at all what she is doing in her surgery.
I mean, (one) why has she used dark blue wool? (two) It would have been even better if she'd utilised a contrasting wool so we could actually see the repair.
Can you tell I'm a bit crumpy? Lol. I haven't done any knitting this week ~ I must get back on my needles soon ~ or I'll go mad.
Oh btw, a big congratulations on completing 31 swatches this month. You're lucky it's not a leap year this year, lol. Good luck for February!
