|Inspiration:||Another take on the "String of Purls" stitch pattern from Barbara Walker's A Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns. This variations features garter stitch with asymmetrical "purl strings". The swatch is then turned 90 degrees for vertical viewing. I can envision a pillow. How about you?

Or viewed horizontally, I think this makes a fantastically mod baby hat.
Love your project, I'm inspired!

I really like this design/style. I think the the 'String of Pearls' might lend itself to something 'Voguey' ~ like a sculptured skirt or waistcoat. Hmmm...

I love it! It's a very quilt-y design.

This one's also very Angela Adams-ish.

I like this minimalist version of it, in non-symmetrical free forms. I also like it better as a vertical.
