Inspiration: Another utilitarian swatch.  This one for a Hanne Falkenberg Mermaid Jacket.  My LYS is hosting an in shop Hanne Knit Along and tomorrow night is our first meeting.  I needed to go up 2 needle sizes to get gauge.  The small horizontal bands of stockinette stitch separate the 3 needles sizes I used in this swatch.
Yarn: 2 ply Shetland wool from Falkenberg Design
Needles: US 3, 4, & 5.  US 5 ended up giving me the proper gauge
Gauge: 25 stitches and 50 rows in 4 inches
Stitch: Garter Stitch

I've wanted to make this jacket ever since I tried one on two years ago. I'm looking forward to watching your progress on the jacket.

Mermaid! Ingrid gave me a kit for that as a gift a while back, and I love it so much as a project in potentia that I haven't even started it. Silly of me. Maybe you'll give me the kick in the butt I need to get it on the needles!
