Toe the Line
nona's been busted by self proclaimed "nona-niece the most patient" in her comment to my Weekend Knitting entry
There seems to be one project you left out, one you promised to do by the olympics. The clock is ticking aunt nona.
Here are the facts in the case. I gave a Spiral Madness scarf to nona-niece for Christmas -- in a beautiful winter white I might add. I promised to lengthen said scarf to increase its hipness. Probably uttering something to the effect of, "No worries, I can lengthen the scarf. It will only take a few days". Said scarf has sat forgotten in a bag under my desk. I rest my case. Guilty as charged.
As I write this self incriminating tale, a redemptive light is shining down on me -- or at least near by. nona-niece's scarf is back on the needles and all -- I mean all -- other projects have been removed from the living areas of the house and confined to "The Secret Room". nona-niece your wait is almost over. As for "the most patient" moniker, there are two running nona-nieces who have been more patient as they wait for their self designed footlets -- but that's a story for another day!
Aaaww, you are a good Aunt!

I was very patient. I didn't even mention it to you until a week after Christmas! Thank you for the scarf, I am looking forward to wearing it.

I meant a month after Christmas

I think a whole month of patience is fairly impressive, especially since Olympic Knitting will be taking over soon. ;)

Thanks for remembering, Nona! Indoor track
season has begun; the footlets will look
great with their new track shoes!
