Wimbledon Socks

The official Wimbledon 2005 tennis tournament may be over, but nona is still having fun with the "Sit On You Butt and Watch Wimbledon" sock exchange.  As you may recall, faithful reader, Purly Whites and I are knitting socks for each other for the best reason of all -- just for the heck of it!  I've finished the first sock and am knitting furiously on the mate.

Did you click?  Did you catch the toe pun?

Providence has gently hinted that I've been sitting on my butt watching a bit too much Wimbledon.  After receiving 2 parking tickets within 5 days of each other -- I cannot remember the last time I got a ticket -- I hear the message loud and clear, "Get off your butt, out of the car, and walk to your next destination".  nona's walking...

Love them! I need to learn the techniques you use in this sock. (I'm trying not to give away any hints to purly!) You always have tips on your blog...I am going searching now...

Very, very cool! Inventive design and fabulous colors, too. (Are you getting curiouser and curiouser, Purly...?)

Wimbledon may be over, but I say, knit on!

Nona, I love your socks! What references would you recommend for a beginning sock knitter? (besides this site, of course!)

What neat socks! I love that you two did this neat little exchange. It was fun watching you two knit for each other. :)
