Nonapalooza

Today was Nonapalooza day, the day nona finished her sock -- yes only the first sock -- for Sockapalooza.  Today was the day, if I wasn't eating, doing chores, or out and about, nona was knitting The Sock -- don't it look nice?  The heel is a tad baggy, but overall I'm very happy with the results.

nona likes the fact that knitting both fills time and gives you time.  Knitting fills time spent waiting, watching, sitting still.  Knitting gives you time to think, to talk, to zone out, to listen.  Today nona spent time listening while she nonapaloozaed, time listening to The Kite Runner, my book club book, perhaps a book I should have been reading -- but hey nona had to palooza.

Incredible! I have to go look up who your pal is. She must have some awesome knitting karma to be getting these socks. :)
